Singapore’s S$300 CDC Vouchers : Check What Households Need to Prepare For

Imagine a hot day when your grocery bag feels extremely heavy and you start thinking about bills. Then your phone makes a sound & you see that a $300 CDC Voucher has arrived in your account so you can get some food at the hawker stall nearby. In 2025 the Singaporean government plans to help people deal with daily challenges by turning their regular struggles into small wins. The CDC Voucher program aims to provide direct financial support to households across Singapore. The government distributes these digital vouchers to help families manage their expenses for essential items & services. Recipients can use the vouchers at participating merchants including supermarkets and food establishments throughout the country.

On December 30, 2025, the S$300 January tranche is set to go live as part of the wider Assurance Package enhancements first introduced in Budget 2025. From January 3, eligible digital vouchers will be issued automatically to every household in Singapore. There is no application process involved. Simply log in using Singpass at vouchers.cdc.gov.sg. The process is quick, requires no app download, and households will receive notifications via SMS or email. Households may also authorise a trusted family member to help manage claims, but should remain alert to scam messages promising extra bonuses.

Split Smart: Where It Counts Most

The S$300 allocation is evenly divided to ensure balanced everyday spending. S$150 is reserved for hawkers and heartland merchants, supporting neighbourhood food stalls and small shops offering local favourites like fresh laksa. The remaining S$150 can be spent at supermarkets, helping households manage essentials such as rice, groceries, and diapers. Payments are made via QR code scanning at checkout, ensuring a smooth and cashless experience. This split structure strengthens local businesses while easing household cost pressures.

Deadline Alert: Don’t Let It Slip

All vouchers come with a strict expiry date of December 31, 2025. Any unclaimed or unused vouchers after this date will be forfeited permanently. Households can track spending and balances through the online dashboard and may share voucher portions with other household members to maximise use. Previous voucher rounds recorded redemption rates of nearly 90%, highlighting strong participation and the value of acting early.

Beyond Basics: Extra Perks in Play

The S$300 January payout is only part of the wider support package. A further S$500 tranche in May 2025 raises the total support to S$800 per household for the year. Looking ahead, January 2026 may bring an additional S$300, subject to Budget 2025 outcomes. These measures aim to offset GST increases, manage inflation pressures, and reinforce the broader SG60 diamond jubilee spirit.
