My dream always seemed unbelievable to people, what I wanted and had always dreamed of, couldn’t be done, so I was told. I needed to be ‘realistic’, they said. “There are too many people who want the same as you Byron,” they would say. But, at 16 years old, I auditioned for The International ARTS Talent Showcase, received a callback which took me to The International ARTS Talent Showcase at the Silverstar Casino where I performed as well as received a callback to attend the International Talent Convention in Orlando, Florida, to showcase my talent on an International Stage for the first time. At the convention In August 2017, I received callbacks from Industry Professionals and placed 2nd in the Singing category. While I was at the Convention, I was also scouted to audition for American Idols where I made it through to the Final Auditions, 1st Television Broadcast in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.

From this point on, things only started to get bigger for me. One of the callbacks I received was from Watersound Entertainment and through working with them, I was able to get in contact with an incredible Producer and Songwriter who assisted me with creating my latest single, “The One” which is available on all music platforms, as well as two other tracks I recorded in New York in 2018. These will be released later in 2019. Watersound also got me in contact with a great A&R Company who handles my publicity for which I am extremely grateful.

Watersound has played a huge role in making my dreams possible and preparing me as an International Artist.

It is also important to know, the International Convention is not just about the placing or how many callbacks you receive, it is about the massive opportunity to network and the endless information given to you at workshops held by Industry Professionals. This International platform is a chance to become more knowledgeable and wiser when it comes to your craft and know what you want as an Artist. I went to Orlando extremely focused and more ready than ever, it was an amazing experience.

My dream is to travel all over the world, performing my songs and writing more albums, eventually being signed by labels such as Continental, Universal, Atlantic and Interscope. I want to be remembered as a kid from South Africa who had one dream and has turned that dream to a reality, when so many people told me it couldn’t be done, I did it and I’m going to do so much more.

I aspire to inspire Artists to realise that they can achieve what feels impossible and that mind set is everything, this is one of the reasons I’m so close to reaching my ultimate goal. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the guidance and love from Elsubie, Elouise and The International ARTS Talent Showcase Team!

“Born to do, what can’t be done.”

My journey with @33_and_me began in 2015 when I was scouted at the Mr and Ms Jacaranda Pageant. Upon joining the Agency, I started training in Dancing and Acting for Film at the Academy and in October 2015, I was selected at the International ARTS Talent Showcase at Silverstar Casino to attend the International Convention in Orlando, Florida in 2016. This was a phenomenal step towards showcasing my talent and on my return to South Africa, I booked 8 TV Commercials, attended 2 castings for International film and was also chosen as a Model for the UberGlam Fashion Show in 2016. My TV Commercials include adverts for Rand Merchant Bank, Standard Bank, Edgars, Cadbury, Halls, Dorito’s, Outsurance and Jacaranda Radio.

In 2016 I was in the Short Film, Transito, which was produced by Waterkloof Hoërskool and nominated in 3 categories at the Kleinkaap Short Film Festival. Main characters were played by Heiki Bergh (Egoli), Arno Greeff (Die Pro) and Albert Maritz (Invictus). The film was Directed by Andre Velts. This was a very successful Short Film dealing with the very real threat of human trafficking.

The training I received as a Model positioned me to continue shooting with photographers, building my Modeling resume. In 2018 I was selected to Model in the SVEDA Fashion Show. (Spero Villioti Design Academy – Future Designers).

I love what I do and dream of making my big break in the Industry. I am a Performer at heart and even though it is hard work and learning to accept rejection, I know I have what it takes to make it!

Sony ATV Singer/Songwriter, Gino Lee is a Multi-talented Performer with a unique voice and an enormous passion for music, who recently returned home to South Africa after spending three successful years in the USA. A Singer, Actor, Pianist, Music Producer and Model, Gino wears many hats, with music being his foremost passion. He started playing piano from the age of 6, creating new melodies on the family’s old piano. By age 12, he began to perform professionally in front of mass audiences and by the time he reached the end of his Primary School career, he knew that music was ultimately what he wanted to pursue. There was no stopping him... In the years to come, Gino Lee would achieve things that many his age could only ever Dream of. While in the USA, Gino spent the first year in New York City, studying Acting for Film at the New York Film Academy. During this time he performed at many different venues around the city, including The Bitter End and the Apollo Theatre. He went on to work as a Musician, Producer and Actor in Hollywood, under the guide and Mentorship of Producer Matt Henry at Skylight Studios in Los Angeles, where he learned to produce Music for Film and Television. Gino has worked with Jessie J, Mary J Blige and David Hudson in their music video’s. Gino has booked numerous International TV Commercials—Google, Luggies, Kohl’s, City Bike NY and Subaway. Gino has been back in South Africa for the past year promoting his single, Back To Me which has had tremendous success, scoring a spot on both the KFM top 40 and Algoa FM top 30 charts. His latest Single, Only Get Better, is out now and available online. In 2019 Gino joined forces with amazing Singer-Songwriter Lexi Riese to form the Pop Supergroup & writing duo “Strangers’. Two years ago, I was a 12-year-old boy with big dreams on The International ARTS Talent Showcase stage. At the time, that is all that it was…dreams. For me, it all started in 2018 when I entered “The Face of Just You”. It was a competition that was based on Talent, public votes, your personal brand and also how you presented yourself. I received the Public Choice Award and received a Scholarship to The New York Film Academy for a 4-week, Teen Acting for Film Educational Programme.

I also participated in the 2018 International ARTS Talent Showcase and received a call-back to showcase my talents in America.

I prepared for months and received training from the best Industry professionals and with the guidance, love, support and education I received from Elsubie Verlinden and 33 and Me Model & Artist Management, I was ready to take on America and show them who I am.

In America I received 2 call-backs and also received a meeting request with Chad Broskey from Discover Management which is based in New York and Los Angeles.

The highlight of my entire trip was to receive my Diploma for Acting for Film at New York Film Academy.

This is something that no one can ever take away from me. I now have International Education, 3 Short Films and Multiple Film scenes to add to my resume with huge opportunities that awaits me in my near future. None of this would be possible without Elsubie! She believed in me since the first time we met. She understood my Goals and Dreams. She Encouraged me, Taught me, Inspired me and Pushed me to be the best version of myself.

I am now a 15-year-old teenager who had dreams two years ago, but those dreams are not just dreams anymore… I am now living my dreams.

I have always believed that with every test comes a testimony, entering into IATS (International ARTS Talent Showcase) was the greatest achievement and decision to date I have made.

I was scouted on Instagram by a wonderful lady called Elizabeth Janse van Rensburg who invited me to audition IATS.

Going for the audition almost never happened I was in two minds about it, never the less I made the decision to audition; I thought I would be just a straight forward audition to my surprise it was educational and uplifting to say the least. I received my call back with tears in my eyes to showcase my talent in front of the international panel.

The night of my performance I got home and stayed up all night to hear weather I would be called to showcase again in NEW YORK CITY! I got the call at 2am when I had about give up but I received the call that I had been invited to come to NEW YORK CITY! And showcase my talent at the IMTA (International Model and Talent Convention) in front of over 300 agents, managers, producers, record labels, casting directors and the New York film academy. My heart jumped out of my chest and I just burst into tears, because after years of traumatic events and disappointments in my life I have received the opportunity of a life time and chance to live out my dream internationally.

I am currently and actively preparing myself for IMTA New York City in July 2022.

I live by three mottos daily:

• “Never give up no matter how hard the battle becomes”

The whole IATS team has been amazing and helpful throughout my journey I will forever be grateful to them. I am still learning new skills everyday.

Working to become a resourceful Actress and Model, I started in the Agency by doing weekly training in Acting, Modeling and Dancing. I booked as an artist in a KFC TV Commercial, Global Citizen Project and walked in the UberGlam Fashion Show. I auditioned for The International ARTS Talent Showcase and received the Overall Top Actor Award. I received my exclusive callback to attend the Showcase at the Silverstar Casino where I was awarded a invitation to a life changing event in Orlando, Florida.

In preparation for the Convention I increased my skillsets and knowledge in the Industry by attending workshops hosted by New York Film Academy, doing online training courses, seminars and training in extra murals like Linguistics, Fencing and Archery. At the Convention, I performed in 11 categories of Dancing, Modeling, Acting and Singing, where I received 12 call backs with an International Representation opportunity in Asia, working as an Artist and Model.

I just returned from New York where I walked for numerous International Designers at the New York Fashion Week 2019. The best part about my journey through this Convention is that all this, is just the beginning.

I auditioned for Elouise at Kearsney College in 2017 on a cold and rainy day with my nerves playing tricks on me, but excited about what was to come. I auditioned for Dancing, Modeling and Singing. Much to my surprise, I received a callback to attend The International ARTS Talent Showcase later that year in Johannesburg at the Silverstar Casino. This is where the serious choice was to be made, do I really want to pursue my dream and make it a reality? This would require a lot more commitment to my craft. I decided to pursue my dream and attend the Showcase at Silverstar Casino. I met Elsubie - Director of ARTS Africa - unbeknown to me, Elsubie would later become a second Mom to me showing so much love and support! She truly wants the best for you. After performing at the Showcase, I waited for the callbacks and my phone to ring. I got my call.

After all the preparation, I was set to embark on this International Journey that would change my life forever. It truly hit me that I was about to perform for top scouts from all various Companies and Brands when I stepped onto that International stage in Orlando, Florida. That’s when you truly realize that all the sacrifice and work was worth it. The Convention was a memorable experience that will never fade!

At my callback session with International Industry Professionals, I met a Casting Director who informed me that she would like me to attend the New York Fashion Week in September 2019. I not only walked for the designer Dominon at New York Fashion Week, but also performed the opening piece for the show with my fellow South African friends. I have enjoyed this Journey walking the runway at the New York Fashion Showcase taking my Modeling International. I was in the opening production as well. This year is truly a blessing and my Journey to making my dreams a reality has only begun!

I am Tamera Kruger, a 23 year old aspiring actress, I auditioned for the IATS showcase in 2019 and unfortunately, I did not get a callback from the Showcase.

The experienced motivated me to work harder on my craft and I was determined to audition again in 2020. So I worked on improving my acting skills until I was confident enough and ready to audition again. I auditioned in September 2020 and received a callback to perform at the Showcase and after a successful performance at the Showcase I received a callback to attend the IMTA convention in New York City. The experience so far has been absolutely incredible I have learned so much from the bootcamp. Being able to receive advice from the Director of Tyler Perry Studio’s Rhavynn Drummer and Blaze Johnson from The Voice America has been surreal. I have learned so much about acting, personal branding, fashion etc. It also pushed me to up my game and learn new skills such as dancing and modelling.

I have already grown as an artist just from all the preparations. I am highly grateful for the opportunity to represent South Africa at one of the largest conventions.

My experience in IATS and the International Talent Convention was one filled with so much growth and development. I have learnt a lot about my craft and about the industry. Elsubie, Elouise and their team have gone above and beyond to shape and mould their artists to be a cut above the rest.

From the first Social Media workshop at auditions to the long hours of hard core training at the bootcamps, everyone was highly invested and dedicated to the cause. This was evident when we were competing internationally in Orlando Florida USA, against other artists from around the world.

We were confident, we were prepared, we were absolutely phenomenal and many of us received call backs and awards. We also had the opportunity to attend high profile industry workshops with top industry professionals who equipped us with valuable knowledge and skills that can and will propel us forward as artists.

Beyond showcasing my tlents, one of my highlights was visiting and touring the fabulous city of New York where we visited one of the most prestigious film institutes in the world, New York Film Academy (NYFA).

And to top it all off, I received a Talent Based Scholarship to study at NYFA !!! All of the above would not have been possible if it weren’t for the commitment and efforts of Elsubie, Elouise and their team. I am truly grateful for everything.
